Parisa <br>Saeednezhad — Middle East Classical Music Academy-2025

Parisa Saeednezhad, born and raised in Tehran, studied her Bachelor of Music at the University of Arts in Bremen with Prof. Marco Thomas. She later received her Master of Music Degree in Clarinet from the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf with Prof. Kerstin Grötsch. After her studies in Düsseldorf she moved to Berlin and studied an Artist Diploma at the Barenboim-Said Academy with Prof. Matthias Glander, where she also received lessons from Jörg Widmann and Shirley Brill. Parisa Saeednezhad has participated in various Clarinet and Chamber Music Masterclasses with artists such as Charles Neidich, Giora Feidman, Daniel Barenboim, Manfred Lindner and James Campbell.

Parisa Saeednezhad was a recipient of various scholarships including DAAD and Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Rhein Ruhr.

In 2015 she won the DAAD Prize and the 2nd Prize + Audience Award from the Schumann-Video-Competition.

She has previously been the clarinetist of Staatsbad Philharmonie Kissingen, and currently continues to play in numerous projects with different orchestras and ensembles such as the Berlin State Opera, Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt, Brandenburger Symphoniker, Berliner Symphoniker, West-Eastern
Divan Orchestra and the Boulez Ensemble and she also participated on Europe-, USA and Japan-Tours with the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra and Berliner Symphoniker.

She is an active chamber musician and has recently appeared at festivals including the Herbstgold Festival in Eisenstadt, „Ins Offene“ Festival in Kühlhaus Berlin and „Kultursommer Nordhessen“ in Ballhaus Kassel and Wanfried. Since 2021 she has also been a member of the Iris-Duo (Flute and Clarinet).

Parisa Saeednezhad has been keenly involved in musical pedagogy since 2012. She has been teaching clarinet at two public music institutes in Berlin since 2020 and in March 2023 was appointed assistant teacher to the class of Matthias Glander at the Barenboim-Said Academy.
