Behzod Abduraimov Performs in New York with the New York Philharmonic

Behzod Abduraimov, special guest and professor at the Middle East Classical Music Academy, appeared in concert in New York as soloist with the New York Philharmonic in January 2026. The performances took place from 7 to 10 January 2026 at David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center, across four sold-out evenings.

The concerts were conducted by Gianandrea Noseda and featured a program centered on two major pillars of the symphonic and concerto repertoire. Behzod Abduraimov performed Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in B-flat minor, Op. 23, one of the most iconic and demanding works in the piano literature. The program was completed by Dmitri Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 4 in C minor, Op. 43, performed by the New York Philharmonic under Noseda’s direction.

Abduraimov’s appearance with one of the world’s leading orchestras further confirmed his position as a major international artist, praised for his powerful interpretation, technical command, and deep musical insight. His collaboration with the New York Philharmonic and Gianandrea Noseda was met with strong critical and public interest, marking an important artistic moment in the orchestra’s season.

In addition to his international performing career, Behzod Abduraimov is actively involved in education and mentorship as a special guest and professor at the Middle East Classical Music Academy, where he works closely with young pianists and emerging artists. His New York performances stand as a source of inspiration for students and audiences alike, reflecting the high artistic standards and global outlook shared by the academy.
