Venue For Middle East Classical Music Academy Concerts Revealed

Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Hotel's illustrious MusicHall to host MECMA.

The MusicHall at the spectacular Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Hotel in Dubai has been revealed as the main venue for the daily lunchtime concerts that shall be taking place during the European Foundation for Support of Culture’s Middle East Classical Music Academy (MECMA).

The Academy, co-organised by the SAMIT Event Group, shall be taking place from the 4th to the 23rd of September, and will comprise two courses in the schools of piano and strings respectively.

Each course shall include a variety of lectures, seminars and masterclasses that shall be led by a host of internationally-renowned visiting professors and musicians, giving students the rare opportunity to learn and gain insight directly from these leading artists.

However, what makes this Academy unique, even among similar projects, are the daytime concerts that shall be organised daily throughout the MECMA’s duration. These concerts shall see soloists from all over the world travelling to Dubai to perform in collaboration with the Kaliningrad Symphony Orchestra, and the most accomplished students from the Academy shall be given the once-in-a-lifetime chance to join them on stage and participate in the performance alongside them.

Now it has been revealed that the backdrop for this series of concerts shall be the MusicHall at the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Hotel – a world-famous venue located on the Palm Jumeirah, one of the famous Palm Islands that the city is famous for – that has played host to some of the biggest musical celebrations that the United Arab Emirates city has ever seen. Audiences and participants alike shall be able to revel in the glamorous luxury of the hall, while the 5-star hotel shall also be serving as the location for the Academy’s masterclasses themselves, with the professors set to make use of some of the venue’s many purposefully-adapted halls for this end.

The MECMA shall be taking place between the 4th and the 23rd of September. Applications for both courses are currently open, and may be accessed by visiting the official website here
