Violin

Riccardo Zamuner, a Neapolitan violinist, is regularly invited to perform at the most prestigious concert institutions both in Italy and abroad. Born in Naples in 1997, he graduated with top marks, honors, and a special mention from the "San Pietro a Majella" Conservatory in Naples. He also completed the two-year specialisation courses in violin, viola, and baroque violin at the same conservatory, graduating with 110/110, honors, and special mention in each of these disciplines.
He obtained, with the highest grades, a diploma in violin perfection with M° Sonig Tchakerian at the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome, as well as a Master of Arts in Music Performance at the Conservatory of Lugano, studying under M° Pavel Berman. He also attended the prestigious Stauffer Academy of High Specialization in Cremona, studying with M° Salvatore Accardo, and participated in summer courses at the Chigiana Academy in Siena, where he performed in various chamber music ensembles alongside course instructors.
He is a winner of several competitions and maintains an active concert career, performing both in Italy and internationally (tours in Spain, Germany, Romania, Switzerland, Turkey, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Albania, and China) for major concert seasons. In 2016, he debuted as a soloist at the Berlin Philharmonic.
In the spring of 2021, he recorded his first CD in duo with pianist Emanuele Delucchi for CIDIM and SUONARE RECORDS, released as an attachment to the April 2021 issue of Suonare News.
Riccardo also performs in various chamber music ensembles and has collaborated with notable musicians such as Bruno Canino, Mario Brunello, Salvatore Accardo, Sonig Tchakerian, Bruno Giuranna, Benedetto Lupo, David Geringas, Francesco Fiore, Gabriele Pieranunzi, Luigi Piovano, Simonide Braconi, Silvia Chiesa, Maurizio Baglini, and others.
Recently, he held a series of concerts at the Violin Museum in Cremona, performing on Guarneri and Stradivari violins. He collaborates with "L'Orchestra da Camera Italiana" of Salvatore Accardo and has participated in productions with the Orchestra of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, the Santa Cecilia Symphony Orchestra, and the “I Solisti Aquilani” Orchestra.
He is the founder, first violin, and artistic director of the ensemble "I Virtuosi di Sansevero," which made its debut during the Christmas concert of 2017 at the Cappella Sansevero. Since 2023, he has served as first violin and concertmaster of the Accademia di Santa Sofia Orchestra in Benevento.
Riccardo is also the artistic director of the violin section of the International Emilia and Elsa Gubitosi Competition, held in Capri.
He is a winner of a violin professorship competition and currently teaches at the "E. R. Duni" Conservatory in Matera.
He plays a violin by Giuseppe Antonio Rocca, dated 1855, and an bow by Eugene Nicolas Sartory, on loan from the Takeuchi collection through the Nippon Violin Society program.
