Wagner Luis Rodrigues Portugal
Soloist diploma summa cum laude from the most important Conservatory in Latin America, in the class of professor Paulo Bosisio, pupil of Max Rostal. He has won and been awarded in seven competitions in Latin America and was chosen by Menahem Pressler as the most promising Brazilian musician representing Brazil in Israel, where he performed as a soloist alongside Guy Braunstein and the Israel Chamber Orchestra. Additionally, he received a scholarship to the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music.
In his professional career, he was the “concertino” of the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra, where he worked for 12 years. Currently, he performs with major orchestras in Germany and as concertmaster in Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock, Kammersymphonie Berlin, and Berliner Symphoniker.
