Polina Tkhai — Middle East Classical Music Academy-2025

Polina Tkhai was born in 2008 in Kemerovo. She received her primary professional education at the Novosibirsk Secondary School of Music (class of Evgeny Nilov). Currently she is studying at the Central Music School - Academy of Performing Arts (Moscow; class of Maria Zhuravleva). She has taken part in master classes given by David Geringas, Alexander Ramm, Sergei Roldugin, Pablo Ferrandez, Alexander Buzlov, Alexei Seleznyov, Boris Andrianov, Alexander Knyazev, Antonio Menezes and others. 

Laureate of the Nutcracker International Television Competition for Young Musicians (Moscow: 2018 - special prize; 2019 - 3rd prize), the D. B. Kabalevsky All-Russian Music Competition (Novosibirsk, 2019; 1st prize), the International Young Musicians Competition named after Oskar Reading (Moscow: 2018 - special prize; 2019 - 3rd prize). Tchaikovsky International Youth Competition (St. Petersburg, 2023; 2nd prize, silver medal and special jury prize), All-Russian Competition "Young Talents of Russia" (Moscow, 2024, 1st prize) Scholarship winner of the New Names Foundation, the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation, the Yuri Rozum Foundation, the Victor Kallabis Foundation and the Zuzanna Ruzhechkova Foundation in the Czech Republic.

She has participated in the festivals Moscow Meets Friends, Vladimir Spivakov Presents, Musical Olympus, Crescendo, Dialogue of Generations, Alma Mater, Vivacello, Gergiev's Stars of the White Nights Music Festival, the Trans-Siberian Art Festival, Yuri Bashmet's International Music Festival in the Krasnoyarsk region, and has been a participant in the programs of the St Petersburg House of Music since 2024. 2022 saw the artist's first solo concert - accompanied by the Krasnoyarsk Chamber Orchestra conducted by Mikhail Benyumov. Polina has performed at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, Moscow's Zaryadye Concert Hall, the Great Hall of the St Petersburg Philharmonic, the State Academic Chapel of St Petersburg, as well as in Belgorod, Voronezh, Sochi, Pskov, Orenburg, Tyumen and other cities.

She has collaborated with such conductors as Vladimir Spivakov, Mikhail Shekhtman, Anatoly Levin, Christian Knapp, Ivan Nikiforchin, Yuri Tkachenko, Mikhail Golikov, Andres Mustonen, Timur Zangiev and others.
