Trumpet

Born in Yokohama. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts. He graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music with a Masterʼs degree in Orchestra from Zuricher Hochschule der Kunste (Zurich University of the Arts). In 2001, he won the first prize (the Superintendent of Education Award) and the Best Performer Award at the Kanagawa Prefecture High School Cultural Association Solo Contest. In 2005, he won a prize at the 22nd Japan Winds and Percussion Competition, and in 2006, he participated in the Seiji Ozawa Music School VII. He was a trainee of the Voluntariat of the Orchestra of the Zurich Opera in 2011. Since 2019, he has been serving as Principal Trumpet of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. He is a member of L'orchestre d'avant-garde, an early music orchestra with period instruments, and Brass Ensemble ZERO Tokyo.
