About Orchestral Masterclasses

Following the introduction of group masterclasses back in 2024, which was met with resounding acclaim, MECMA 2025 will be building on this success by once again offering courses and classes for entire ensembles as part of its roster of events. This means that these ensembles will be able to apply collectively as a group, providing them with an unrivalled opportunity to study, practice, and grow together both on an individual level and as a cohesive unit. 

Across its duration, the Academy will be presenting classes for various different sections of a traditional orchestra, focusing on a variety of different specialisations, with students also being able to benefit from a series of lectures and seminars that explore the latest trends and interpretations in classical music.

Moreover, in what marks an exclusive addition to this iteration of MECMA, these classes shall not only be dedicated to instruments, but will also be open to voice students as well, with the Academy set to feature courses specifically tailored for choral ensembles. 

Each of these courses will be led by a host of acclaimed professors and pedagogues who will be coming together here in Dubai from all four corners of the world just for this occasion, thereby giving young musicians the unique chance to gain an invaluable insight into the minds of some of the greatest classical music artists active today!
